The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is an independent regulatory and quasi-judicial body committed to ensuring fair competition and economic stability. CCP is hiring highly qualified Data Analysts (two positions) to support its organizational development and market analysis initiatives.
Job Title: Data Analyst
Number of Positions: Two (02)
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for real-time market monitoring.
- Implement data pipelines and apply machine learning algorithms for competition analysis.
- Detect price-fixing, collusion, and anti-competitive behavior using data science techniques.
- Apply predictive models to evaluate the impact of mergers and acquisitions.
- Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining to analyze regulatory documents.
- Assist in detecting anti-competitive practices by analyzing transaction data.
- Collaborate with legal and enforcement teams to provide data-driven insights.
- Develop detailed reports and visualizations for effective decision-making.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- MSc/MPhil/Ph.D. in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Engineering (focused on data analysis), or Business Analytics from an HEC-recognized university (local or foreign).
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Expertise in data preparation, analysis, research, and reporting.
- Knowledge of competition laws and market analysis in Pakistan.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Business Objects.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to handle large datasets, work under deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
Age Limit
- 35 to 50 years (including general age relaxation).
Employment Terms
- Contract-based appointment for two (02) years, extendable based on performance.
- Potential for regularization upon satisfactory progress.
